About the Author
Lisa Humphrey was inspired to write A Mother's Promise when her dear friend wondered whether the world was too scary for a new child. Lisa's stirring message of hope was so powerful it could not be tucked away out of sight, and instead graces us with a celebration of our undying spirits.
A graduate of Northwestern University with a Master's degree from Cal State University Northridge, Lisa is a literacy coach in Los Angeles. She is an advocate for peace and women's rights with interests in yoga, Buddhism and philosophy. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, knitting, and piano as well as spending time with her partner, Matthew, and her dog, Sierra.
David Danioth dedicated his first book, The Tree, to "All mothers—the givers and unconditional nurturers of life." So presented with the opportunity to illustrate A Mother's Promise, how could he refuse?
