New this week
I hope no one minds that I haven't added any new fiction this week. But, just two non-fiction books just jumped out. Besides, we've got great new Northwest fiction here already. Former Seattle Librarian Nancy Pearl has done it again. A sequel to her very popular Book Lust. More Book Lust offers up a wealth of new reading lists. Not all of these books are classics, or even available now, but just books she or someone else really enjoyed reading.
As the Pacific Northwest begins summer, I've also picked a revised edition of Gregory A. Plumb's A Waterfall Lover?s Guide: Pacific Northwest. Plumb has been tracking waterfalls in Washington, Oregon and Idaho for 25 years. He's a true aficionado and this book describes 634 waterfalls, and goes on to list another 777 in the index! To help you select, each waterfall is keyed for accessibility by car, on foot, or by canoe or raft and rated for magnitude and aesthetic value.
